Quality Counts Santa Barbara is a cross-sector, multi-agency collaboration of stakeholders whose vision is to sustain a robust and diverse early childhood education (ECE) system that supports thriving children and families; inspires educators; and engages our diverse communities on quality early learning, and its foundational importance. Our mission is to manage and implement a quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) that optimizes early learning for all children. Our work is focused on supporting the efforts of the highly trained, well-educated, and genuinely committed ECE educators who are staffing early learning sites countywide through well-planned, innovative, and research-based resources and effective intervention.

Our consortium and its members represent a local county-based affiliate of Quality Counts California, a collaboration of First 5 California (F5CA) and the California Department of Education's Early Learning and Care Division (ELCD). Funding comes from F5CA, CDE-ELCD, and other state-, federal-, and local partnerships.
